OKX rewards:
open to small accounts, with rules.
New-user tasks, trading competitions, Boost and X Launch run most months. Here is where to find them, what they require, whether they're worth it on a small budget and what voids a reward.
What rewards and campaigns does OKX run?
There are two places to look: the exchange app (Rewards, campaign pages, announcements) and the Boost section of OKX Wallet.
| Campaign | Where | Typical requirement | Small budget? |
|---|---|---|---|
| New-user tasks and boxes | App → Rewards | New account, verification, first deposit and trade | Yes, lowest bar |
| Trading competitions | Campaign pages and announcements | Register, then ranked by volume or return | Depends; volume farming fees can exceed prizes |
| Boost · X Launch | OKX Wallet → Boost | 15-day average balance and volume thresholds | Check each event's bar |
| Boost trading contests | OKX Wallet → Boost | Trade on a named chain, prize pool split by volume | Large traders take most |
| Simple Earn new-user rates | App → Earn → Simple Earn | New users, within a cap | Yes, relatively low risk |
Official campaign rules always apply. A 'reward' that asks you to pay a personal account first or install a special app is not an OKX campaign.
What is OKX Boost, and how does X Launch work?
Boost is the rewards hub inside OKX Wallet. X Launch events let new projects distribute tokens to participants. According to OKX, eligibility is based on two numbers:
- Boost balance: your average token balance in OKX Wallet over the past 15 days (in USD).
- Boost volume: your average trading volume through OKX DEX on Solana and EVM networks over the past 15 days.
- Thresholds vary: around $200 balance and $500 volume is common; each event page is final. Trades after an event starts don't count for it.
- How rewards split: usually a base reward shared equally by qualifiers plus a bonus by share of volume.
In September 2026 OKX said Boost airdrop eligibility would move toward ranking cumulative volume in specified tokens, with anyone above a minimum able to claim. Rules change quickly, so reread the event page every time.
On a small budget, add up network fees, price risk and time before parking your whole stake in a wallet or churning volume just to qualify.

How OKX trading competitions work, and whether to chase volume
Competitions usually start counting after you tap Register; earlier trades don't count. Rankings are either by volume or by return.
| No code | With OK66688 | |
|---|---|---|
| Fee rate | 0.10% | 0.08% |
| 100,000 USDT volume | about 100 USDT | about 80 USDT |
| 500,000 USDT volume | about 500 USDT | about 400 USDT |
Small accounts that farm volume for a leaderboard usually pay more in fees than they win. Better: join events where everyone above a threshold shares the pool, or register when you were going to trade anyway.
What is zero-cost airdrop farming?
Zero-cost farming means doing tasks (follows, check-ins, testnet actions) instead of investing, hoping for an airdrop. It is free in money, but not in:
- Time: most tasks never pay out, or pay very little.
- Network fees: testnets are free, mainnet actions cost gas.
- Security: 'projects' that want your seed phrase, contract approvals or an unknown app are mostly wallet drainers.
Real airdrops never charge an 'unlock fee', 'withdrawal fee' or 'deposit' before you can claim.
Will farming with multiple accounts get you banned?
It can. OKX campaign rules generally require one person, one account and reserve the right to cancel rewards for abnormal accounts. These patterns are the most likely to be flagged:
- registering extra accounts with family, friends' or purchased identities;
- logging into many accounts from the same device or network;
- moving funds between your own accounts or trading against yourself;
- paying someone to verify an account or lending out your verified account.
Consequences range from cancelled rewards to restricted accounts, and using someone else's identity can be illegal. One well-run account that collects the new-user rewards, the referral discount and campaign prizes beats a farm of flagged ones.
How to sell airdrop and campaign tokens
- Check where the reward landed: exchange campaigns usually pay to your funding account or Rewards, Boost pays to your OKX Wallet address.
- If the token is listed on OKX, sell it for USDT in Trade → Spot; wallet tokens can be swapped in the wallet or moved to the exchange first.
- New listings swing hard, so sell in parts with limit orders rather than one market order.
- Always check the contract address to avoid same-name fake tokens.
